Privacy Policy

What CDL Prep Hub collects, what we don't, and how we handle the small amount of data we do see.

The short version

CDL Prep Hub does not require an account to use, does not ask for your email or name, and does not store your practice test scores or answers on our servers. Your activity on the site stays in your browser. We do use a small number of standard third-party services for analytics and advertising, described in detail below.

What we collect automatically

Like virtually every website on the public internet, our servers receive standard HTTP request logs that include your IP address, the URL you requested, your browser's user-agent string, and the page that referred you. These logs are retained for thirty days and used only for diagnosing site issues and detecting abuse. They are not joined with any other data source and are not shared with third parties except as required by law.

Analytics

We use a privacy-respecting page-view analytics service that records aggregate page visit counts, country (not city), and the originating site of inbound links. The analytics provider does not set tracking cookies, does not record individual user paths across the site, and does not retain raw IP addresses beyond the moment of the page view.

Advertising

We display banner advertising through third-party advertising networks. Those networks use cookies to deliver relevant ads and to measure ad performance. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time using the industry's standard advertising preferences page provided by the Network Advertising Initiative or the Digital Advertising Alliance. The ad networks we work with are required to comply with applicable U.S. and EU privacy regulations including GDPR, CCPA, and the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework.

Cookies

The CDL Prep Hub site itself uses minimal first-party cookies, currently limited to remembering whether you have dismissed the cookie consent banner. Third-party cookies set by analytics and advertising vendors are described above. You can block or delete cookies at any time using your browser's privacy settings.

Children's privacy

The CDL knowledge test is open only to drivers age twenty-one and over (eighteen for intra-state CDL operation in some states). Our content is not directed to children under thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect any data from children under thirteen.

Your rights

If you are a resident of California, the European Union, or another jurisdiction that grants individual data access rights, you may contact us at the address listed in our contact page to request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we may have processed about you. Because we do not maintain user accounts, in most cases the answer to such a request will be that we do not hold any personally identifying information about you in the first place.

Changes to this policy

This policy was last updated in 2026. We may update it from time to time as our practices change or as regulations evolve. Material changes will be announced on the home page for at least thirty days before taking effect.
